      Can I charge broker fees?

      Are there carriers that allow broker fees?

      Generally speaking, IronPoint members are agents of the carriers we represent. Therefore, our member producers are also agents of the company. Therefore, for nearly all of our carriers, members cannot charge broker fees.

      Below are the carriers you cannot ever charge a broker fee:

      • Safeco
      • Nationwide
      • Travelers
      • CSE
      • Progressive
      • The Hartford
      • AmTrust
      • GUARD Berkshire Hathaway
      • Liberty Mutual
      • NatGen Premier (National General)
      • Allstate
      • Foremost Signature (formerly MetLife)

      Are there exceptions?

      Yes. For some carriers IronPoint does maintain a broker/producer agreement and our members can charge broker fees. Those carriers are typically nonstandard auto carriers. They are:

      • Kemper Infinity
      • Kemper Specialty
      • Kemper Alliance United
      • Sun Coast General
