How to export policy data from the management system to PL Rating for quoting
You can now export policy or renewal quote data from the policy management system to PL Rating or create new quotes.
This process is easy and only takes a few steps. There are a few ways to generate the policy data to transfer, below is the highest level and will serve to help you understand what is happening so you can create the transfer application file directly from the policy as you get more familiar with the system.
Below are the steps:
| Step 1: | Navigate to your customer using the customer search tool from the left menu. |
| Step 2: | When you're on your customer's page, select the "Quotes" tab from the main customer menu. |
| Step 3: | From the Quotes menu, select "Quotes Applications" |
| Step 4: | When you get to the Quotes/Opportunities" page, select "Add New" button under the Quote Applications section. |
| Step 5: | From the "Add New" button, select one of the Auto or Home "from existing" options. |
| Step 6: | In the next page you will be able to select the policy or renewal quote to use to create your quote in PL Rating. |
| Step 7: | Select "Save Changes" and that will create the quote application to transfer to PL Rating. |
| Step 8: | Select "Process Data" and choose PL Rating from the dropdown. |
| Step 9: | The next page will give you the prompt to login to PL Rating. You must choose this otherwise the final data package will not be transferred to PL Rating. |
| Step 10: | After selecting "Go to PL Rating" you will be prompted to login. If you are already logged into PL Rating, it will simply ask you to confirm the security agreement. |

After logging in, you'll see your quote. Simple navigate through the data to clean up any errors or add new information. |

This process only takes a few seconds and allows you to quote re-writes in PL Rating when you need to complete a review of an account, or attempt to shop when rates changes at renewal.
Can I transfer quotes from PL Rating to the management system?
Unfortunately, members cannot transfer data from PL Rating to the management system at this time. We are optimistic that we can build this transfer in a way that members can use in the near future. We'll keep you updated on the progress we make on this upgrade as information becomes available.
