      Do I need to maintain insurance coverage in my home country?

      I plan to travel to Mexico for several months

      Yes, the definition of a "tourist auto" eligible for our programs is an automobile, motorcycle, or recreational vehicle (RV) that is registered in any country EXCEPT Mexico.
      In the United States, most states require the vehicle to maintain registration, and you must have at least liability insurance for that vehicle. Please double-check with your state’s DMV to confirm the requirements for maintaining current registration.
      We DO NOT insure non-registered vehicles.
